Welcome to Health care magic.

1.There is a disc in-between the vertebral bodies which contains good amount of water content within.
2.Water content loss is seen in the degenerative changes or excessive weight bearing work and trauma.
3.This is called disc desiccation - seen as hypo intense in the MRI.
4.And at the level of C5-6 level there is a disc slip posteriorly and causing the pressure effect on the nerve at foramen. ( probably this is the culprit of the pain).
5.In this case you may need to do exercises followed by physiotherapy. Good luck.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
